What makes this Role the one for me?

You will need to have a real empathy for clients in the disability space and be proactive and motivated to assist in delivering exceptional service, with a willingness to be very hands-on, you will enjoy the challenge of a role in which every hour is challenging and different.

No two days will ever be the same when you are providing support to our clients and you will be providing a variety of support that includes:

• Assisting with Personal Care / Hoisting / Urinary Care / Bowel Care
• Assisting with Medications
• Assisting and teaching clients with household chores
• Access the community to assist our clients in building confidence
• Mentor clients on appropriate behaviors
• Support clients in learning life skills
  
  

We need you to have:

• Cert. 3, 4 Individual Support (disability) and/or studying bachelor’s degree
• Current Police Check, Working with Children's Check, First Aid and CPR
• Valid Australian drivers’ licence and own car
• NDIS Worker Orientation Module Certificate: https://www.ndiscommission.gov.au/workers/support-for-workers/training-course
• Reliable and punctual with strong communication skills
• Proven ability and experience in providing social support, community access life skills development and other various duties that encourage capacity building
• Experience in personal care and working with people with a disability
• Mobile phone with internet access
• The right to work within Australia
• Ability to complete online training
