Your new role

 

In this role, you will provide support to our young client in-home and in the community. You will have experience working with young adults with Autism and be prepared to engage in a wide range of skill and confidence building activities.

  • Full day shift from 9 am to 3 pm with a range of activities
  • Afternoon shift from 3 pm to 11 pm
  • Passive overnight and morning shift from 7 am to 9 am
  • Community access shifts
  • Capacity building, meal preparation, self-care activities

 

Our client is very active, loves to get out and about, play sports, visit the beach and nature spots. In this role, you will have the opportunity to perform active and highly engaging support work.

 

What you will need to succeed

 

You will need experience as a Disability Support Worker, delivering in-home services to clients with complex needs. You will also have demonstrated experience supporting clients with Autism Spectrum Disorder and behaviours of concern.

You are a dedicated support worker with a positive approach and a genuine commitment to assist individuals reaching their goals and living their best life. You also need the following current documents:

 

  • Certificate III or IV in individual support or disability
  • Valid NDIS Worker Check
  • Valid Working with Children Check
  • Valid First Aid and CPR Certificate
  • Valid Australian drivers licence and your own insured vehicle.

This is a challenging but rewarding role. You will get the support and guidance of an experienced therapy team. This is an opportunity to work closely with behaviour therapists, occupational therapists and speech therapists. Remuneration is based on the SCHADS Award, schedule E 3.1.
