Lead Practitioner - Positive Behaviour Support

The Lead Positive Behaviour Support Practitioner will manage a transdisciplinary team of positive behaviour support (PBS) practitioners to provide high quality, evidence-informed services to meet the needs of people with a disability and their families.

Key responsibilities of this role include:

  • Coordinating clinical support, supervision and advice for the PBS team.
  • Enhance team function and development to ensure positive outcomes for people with disabilities and their families
  • Ensure team activities are effectively and efficiently carried out in accordance with Nulsen Groups values, KPI’s and within budget.
  • Participating as an advance level PBS practitioner to provide advice and support to people with disabilities, their families and support systems using a person and family centred practice approach. 

Essential Criteria:

  • Tertiary qualification in psychology, occupational therapy, speech pathology or social work and registration/membership with the relevant practice board (i.e. AHPRA, SPA, AASW)
  • Significant (5+ years) post graduate experience and skills in the provision of specialist services to people with a disability who have a reputation of that challenge providers, carers, and community.
  • Advanced or expert practice level skills reflective of the NQ&S commission’s capability framework for PBS
  • Ability to lead a transdisciplinary team, with experience in management of human and physical resources
  • Experience in developing and delivering positive behaviour support training, coaching and support to non-clinical staff, service providers and families. 

You will also need the following compliances:

  • Australian driver’s license
  • Working with Children’s Check
  • Nationally Coordinated Police Clearance
