Outcare is looking for a Participant Engagement Coordinator who can support the needs of our Outcare clients on a 12 month Fixed Term Contract.

You will have the ability to facilitate, mediate and negotiate, whilst being able to advocate, build, and maintain effective relationships with a range of internal and external stakeholders

Ideally you will have a sound understanding of Person-Centred Planning and its ideology, and the ability to be flexible at times with your work hours. If you have the skill to engage really well with people, have a sound understanding of the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) and experience supporting people with disabilities and their families, we would like to hear from you.

What you'll need:

1. Experience in case management in a service delivery environment, working with people with disabilities and engaging with their families.
2. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
3. Strong values and knowledge of the rights of people with disabilities; the concepts of social role valorisation, and quality of life. This includes thorough knowledge of the National Standards for Disability Services.
4. Well-developed written communication skills, with experience in report writing and funding submissions.
5. The ability to work as part of a team or independently as the situation requires, and  ability to work flexible hours from time to time if required.
   
   

Desirable 

A  Diploma in Community Services, or other relevant qualification in human services.

Other Employment Requirements

• Must hold Australian Citizenship, or be a permanent resident of Australia
• NDIS Worker Screening Check, or be willing to obtain one 
• Current Australian Drivers Licence
• A National Police Clearance, or be willing to obtain one through our preferred provider
• Working with Children Check, or be willing to obtain one 
• Current First Aid Certificate, or be willing to obtain one
