Diverseco is seeking a highly organised and professional Service Supervisor to lead and supervise our team of Service Technicians.

Diverseco is seeking an energetic Service Supervisor to support our team of technicians in achieving optimum customer and client service through managing efficient services and supervising the output, safety, & quality of the team. This is a site-based role, located at our Seven Hills NSW branch.

This role will also drive the productivity, customer satisfaction & quality outcomes of the Diverseco Technical Services in a cost-effective manner.


About The Role

  • Supervise and lead the team of Service Technicians so that the required productivity, customer and quality system needs are met in full.
  • Respond to all service calls, book customer service requests, and coordinate service technician attendance for service agreements, calibrations, installations and breakdowns with a high level of accuracy.
  • Work collectively with the service team to effectively plan and organise local and intrastate service jobs for the Service Technicians, while operating within job cost requirements. Provide supervision and guidance for safety requirements such as Take 5’s, toolbox meetings etc.
  • Collaborate with the State Manager to drive increasing service revenue and to maximise chargeable hours. Grow and develop our contracted and non-contracted customer database through proactive and responsive service provision and communications.
  • Complete all service call invoicing by month’s end.
  • Establish strong rapport with customers, suppliers and managers to provide advice on the best approaches, methods and time required for scheduled work. Communicate Work In Progress (WIP) with a view to full job close out.
  • Assist with the training and mentoring of staff through the provision of regular and ongoing feedback, including actionable and dated communications.
  • Closely monitor customer service reports, time sheets, invoices and expense reports associated with Service Staff and Diverseco’s customers so that customer compliance and accuracy is maintained and improved.
  • Ensure that inventory allocation for service work is completed and accurate including coordination with the inventory control function that ensures availability of stock, spares and consumables.
  • Immediately respond to & resolve issues associated with compliance of local, state and federal government legislation as it applies to electrical and measurement trades, including applicable quality standards.
  • Implement and maintain annual performance reviews and development plans for the team.

About You
  • Must have a minimum of 3 years’ experience in a technical service supervision role with solid leadership and people management experience.
  • Experience completing performance management processes to develop and grow the team.
  • Experience supervising trade-based teams in an industrial environment is key.
  • Outstanding customer service skills, a positive and can-do attitude with strong accuracy and attention to detail in completing and following through on all service, reporting and compliance requirements.
  • An ability to relate to and communicate effectively with the Service Technicians, sub-contractors & other trades persons, via a strong technical aptitude.
  • Possess a strong work ethic, be a strong team player and have a commitment to both individual and team goal achievements.
  • Strong level of interpersonal communication skills [written and verbal]; combined with excellent time management and coordinating skills and the ability to adapt to changing circumstances.
  • Possess high level skills in Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook.
  • Experience using Field Service Management (FSM) business system is highly desirable.
