Diverseco is seeking a Trades Assistant with a desire to become a qualified Service Technician.

Trades Assistant

Diverseco has been a leading provider of measurement and automation solutions for almost 150 years throughout Australia. We build, install & service all kinds of industrial equipment, including weighbridges, packaging equipment, robots and welding equipment.

Based at Underwood Queensland branch, we seek a mechanical thinking, mature minded individual as a Trades Assistant for a full-time ongoing role, who can start by assisting our Service Technicians in the field and look to grow their skills to become a fully qualified Service Technician over time.

This is not a FIFO role.

About you:

• Have completed study in an industrial, mechanical or electrical field; school, TAFE or elsewhere (desirable) or have suitable relevant experience.
• Have good mechanical aptitude, can operate power tools when needed and can work at our customers’ locations as required (in QLD).
• Possess good numeracy & literacy skills.
• Have a current driver’s licence & can drive a manual car.
• Heavy Combination (HC) driver's licence is highly desirable (or willing to obtain) 
• Hold full working rights within Australia.
• Prepared to complete a Medical Assessment including D&A to determine suitability (physically) for the role.
