Diverseco is seeking an experienced National Training Officer to join our Wayville based Corporate Services team.

Based at the city fringe, Wayville, we are close to public transport with parking available very close by. As part of the role, interstate travel may be required to service the national business.

As the National Training Officer, you will play a key role in improving the verified skills and knowledge of our workforce. 


Your primary responsibilities will include:

Creating and delivering training programs: Design and implement comprehensive training programs to enhance the professional skills of our employees. Whether it's technical or soft skills, safety initiatives, or people development, you'll be instrumental in delivering high-quality, engaging training sessions. 

Metrology disciplines: Technical training programs will focus on metrology disciplines and related activities such as calibrations, standard reference materials/data, test methods, traceability, and measurement quality assurance programs. 

Assessing training needs: Collaborate with State General Managers to identify knowledge gaps and training requirements. Use your analytical skills to evaluate training effectiveness and identify areas for continuous improvement.

Developing training materials: Design informative and engaging training materials, including presentations, training manuals, videos, and interactive e-learning modules (Moodle). 

Conducting training sessions: Facilitate training sessions, workshops, and seminars either in-person or online. Utilise various teaching methods to ensure comprehension, participation & competency, and enhance our positive learning environment.

Monitoring progress: Track the progress and performance of trainees, providing timely feedback and guidance to help them achieve desired outcomes. Follow up with post-training assessments and conduct surveys to evaluate the effectiveness of the programs.


About You:

  • Minimum Certificate 4 in Training & Assessment (TAE41106)
  • Qualifications and/or work experience in metrology discipline is desirable.
  • Demonstrable experience as a trainer or training officer in an industrial or manufacturing setting, with a comprehensive understanding of training methodologies and best practices.
  • Sound knowledge of industrial processes, machinery, safety protocols, and best practices. Familiarity with regulatory requirements is a distinct advantage.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills that enable you to engage with culturally diverse teams and convey complex information in a clear and concise manner.
  • Strong organisational skills to manage multiple training initiatives simultaneously, adapting to changing priorities with ease.
  • Proficiency in using training MS Office software, learning management systems, and multimedia tools to create and deliver engaging training materials.
