Bowen Rail Company’s current above rail business comprises of over 150 staff operating and maintaining world class assets. Our Next Generation GT46CU-Ace locomotives coupled with leading in design coal wagons have us as a standout from our peers.

  • Understands and is capable of adhering to and promoting legislative requirements for Rail Safety National Law and Regulations. 
  • Positively influence and advise leaders and workers on rail safety requirements including BRC Safety Management System and Work Health and Safety.
  • Prepare, monitor and control delivery to the approved budgets, and make appropriate interventions where deviation occurs.
  • Technical systems capability in disciplines that relates to Train Operations Principles. i.e. Timesheet Management, Train Scheduling, Roster Management, Asset Systems, Event File Management assessment.

Essential 

SARC Safely Access the Rail Corridor (Nationally Accredited)

5+ years’ experience in an equivalent position

Experience managing large teams in a complex operating environment 

Risk management to eliminate or control risks to acceptable levels

Exposure and experience in incident investigation and corrective action implementation


Desirable

Cert IV Leadership & Management

Incident Investigation Techniques ICAM / TAPROOT 

Cert IV in Train Operations

Cert IV in Training and Assessing.
