Provide expert Health & Safety guidance to People Leaders and the wider Leisure Networks team in order to achieve a safe and healthy workplace. 

About the role 
We are looking for a knowledgeable and enthusiastic Health & Safety Partner to offer expert knowledge and ensure that we have a robust wellbeing strategy that supports our people whilst remain compliant to legislation.
  
You will provide expert Health & Safety guidance to People Leaders and the wider Leisure Networks team in order to achieve a safe and healthy workplace.  This role will proactively promote a culture of safety and wellbeing for all our people, while driving the Safety and Wellbeing Strategy for the whole organisation.  

The role is 22.8 hours per week and we are open to what this looks like to you, whether you want to work 3 days per week or spread the hours over 5 days – we are open to exploring this. 

About You 
We are looking for a talented and experienced Health & Safety Business Partner with demonstrated experience in a similar role. 

Our ideal candidate will have: 
  • Demonstrated experience (3+ years) in a similar role  
  • Demonstrated knowledge and experience in OHS legislation, regulations and standards 
  • Sound working knowledge of the Occupational Health and Safety Act 2004, regulations, Codes of Practice and relevant Australian Standards 
  • Return to Work Coordinator Training (WorkSafe accredited) (Desirable) 
  • Previous disability experience is desirable but not essential 
  • Demonstrated change management capabilities and proven ability to lead safety culture improvements.  
  • Practical experience in risk management including risk mitigation strategies and injury prevention strategies.  
  • Proven ability to build strong relationships quickly, using positive influence 
 Other requirements of the role include; 
  • Current NDIS Worker Screening Check (or willing to obtain) 
  • Current Working with Children's Check (employee, or willing to obtain) 
  • Evidence of COVID-19 vaccinations (3 doses)
