NFPs, Human Rights & Social Impact - Lawyer/Associate

Brisbane full-time

We are seeking a lawyer with between 2-4 years' PQE to join our highly regarded NFPs, Human Rights & Social Impact team based in Brisbane or Sydney.

The Role

A rare and exciting opportunity has arisen for a Lawyer or Associate to join our NFPs, Human Rights and Social Impact team supporting Luke Geary. Our team is a national practice and therefore candidates based in either Brisbane or Sydney will be considered.

In this role, you will work across a range of matters including but not limited to the following:

  • Advising and representing respondents in historical institutional child-sexual abuse claims;
  • Advising and acting for non-government schools, churches, aged care and disability providers in respect of litigated disputes and regulatory matters;
  • Advising and acting for out of home care providers; and
  • Dealing with internal disputes in NFPs.


Who We Are Looking For

The ideal candidate will have between 2-4 years’ experience in a similar practice. Some of the matters in which you will be involved are highly sensitive and as such, you will demonstrate excellent communication skills with the ability to display strong empathy and build rapport. You will have a client-service approach and at least a credit average academic history from a well-respected university.
