The Role

A great career opportunity has arisen for an Associate to join our Insurance team in Melbourne. In this role you will be working with some of Australia’s largest insurers across a range of litigation matters in the areas of professional indemnity and public liability.

Responsibilities will include but not be limited to the following:

• Analysing and strategising your litigation/claims;
• Drafting all necessary court documents;
• Drafting advices; 
• Liaising with clients, barristers and opposing solicitors;
• Appearances in Court and with clients at mediation; and
• General daily management of your files/litigation.

Who We Are Looking For

The ideal candidate will have between 3-5 years post admission experience preferentially with prior defendant insurance practice experience in public liability and professional indemnity. You will have a professional approach with a client service focus. You will have excellent advocacy and communication skills, the ability to prioritise task work, display initiative, fine attention for detail and a proven history of meeting or exceeding client expectations.
