We have an exciting opportunity for a Planning Technician to work in one of the most beautiful places in the country.

As Planning Technician your role includes providing an efficient and effective Duty Planning service to the public, vetting resource consent applications, and checking building consent for compliance against the District Plan. For the right person there is potential to process simple consents such as Deemed Permitted Boundary Activities.  This is a vital role as you will be the first point of contact for Council for all planning queries therefore you need to be highly organised and have an understanding of key legislation; including the Resource Management Act 1991 and Building Act 2004.

Whilst a qualification or experience in resource management administration is beneficial, it is not essential if you are self-motivated and have an aptitude for personal development then we want to hear from you.
