The Opportunity

We have an exciting position for a new Project Manager to join our Geelong team. Reporting to the Branch Manager, no day is the same, as our clients and projects are varied across the Western Victoria region. You will be responsible for the execution of all repaint projects from start to finish. Typical projects include multi-story buildings, schools, shopping centres and more.
  
While you are 'off the tools', 80% of your time is spent travelling to various sites and 20% in the office. Key responsibilities include:

• Lead the completion of works for multiple, concurrent projects safely, on time, to contract specification, and to budget.
• Day to day planning of labour, managing and developing an increasing workforce, problem solving and job monitoring
• Work with the sales team to assess job costings and methodology
• Ensure strong conformity to Higgins WHS standards and systems
• Completing all documentation electronically
• Strong Client communication skills

What do we need from you?

You must be a trade qualified painter with a minimum of 5 years of commercial experience and comfortable managing small teams on multiple, concurrent projects. Ideally, you will also have experience in:

• WHS systems and compliance
• Negotiating sub-contractor agreements and monitoring on site performance
• Capturing/sending documentation electronically using a PC or tablet
• Ensuring client satisfaction through high levels of written and verbal communication
