Jumpstart your GIS development career with Spatial Vision.

Our Cadetship program offers a 12-month opportunity to apply and develop your skills and experience. 

During the program you will have the opportunity to explore different areas of specialisation, gain real project experience and see the inner workings of a successful software and spatial professional services company.

Graduates will also have the opportunity to undertake their own research and development project in an area of their choice!


GIS Development and Programming

Our 2023 GIS Development and Programming Graduate will join Spatial Vision's Enterprise Spatial Solutions team. This team builds databases, servers, and web and desktop applications using proprietary and open source software for clients in the Government, Commercial and NFP sectors.

We are a highly motivated, capable, and diverse team that works with our clients to help them get the most out of their GIS infrastructure. We leverage ESRI, Geocoretex, AWS and other cloud services to deliver solutions to our clients on time and on budget and promote digital transformation aligned with their business goals.

 

As a preferred candidate you might have:

- A degree in Geospatial Science, Software Engineering, Computer Science or a related IT field with a love for developing tools for GIS.

A general understanding of the software development life cycle, software deployment processes and cloud infrastructure.

- Knowledge of spatial data visualisation, spatial data management and/or geospatial platforms

- Basic Python programming skills

An understanding of spatial databases such as Esri geodatabases, SQL Server Spatial Data or PostgresSQL/PostGIS

- An desire to apply and develop your skills in GIS development and programming

- A desire to learn and contribute to a passionate team
