This role sits within our Enterprise Spatial Solutions team who are responsible for the implementation, customisation and enhancement of enterprise GIS environments. The team works on a wide variety of technology and projects including system implementations and integration, technical consultations, data transformations and migrations, and development of bespoke web mapping applications. 

Role Overview:

As our Enterprise Spatial Project Manager, you’ll work with government and non-government clients across a variety of GIS projects and strategic consulting engagements.

Your role will include guiding projects to completion within budget and schedule, engaging with clients to understand and address their needs, and collaborating with technical teams to develop solutions, design infrastructure, and provide guidance on project implementation.

You'll also lead bid development efforts, manage project documentation, and play a role in business growth activities. 

This role also offers room for advancement, with a clear path towards a Deputy Team Lead position for those with management aspirations.

What We’re Looking For:

  • Strong technical background in GIS, with experience in enterprise-level systems.
  • Demonstrated experience in managing projects, leading technical teams, and providing advice.
  • Business/commercial savvy, with a clear desire to move beyond technical roles.
  • Local to Melbourne, with a commitment to collaboration and team success.
  • Proficient in written and verbal English, with a knack for writing reports and communicating complex ideas effectively.

As an Enterprise Spatial Project Manager, you will draw upon your project management skills, technical expertise, and creative problem-solving abilities every day. 

Expect to spend half of your time overseeing ongoing projects, interacting with clients, coordinating resources, and keeping meticulous records. You'll dedicate another quarter of your time to bid development, expanding our project portfolio with new opportunities. The remaining quarter will involve routine tasks, prioritising billable work and continuous improvement efforts. And when needed, you'll jump in hands-on to ensure project delivery exceeds expectations.
