The Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced and values-driven Manager, People & Culture to join our team. Reporting to the Executive Manager, Support Services, you will play a pivotal role in shaping our people strategy, supporting our workforce, and driving a positive and inclusive culture across the organisation.


Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the People & Culture team that are responsible for all stages of the employee lifecycle
  • Drive engagement initiatives, foster ‘The Nulsen Way’ culture, and lead best practice learning and development programs.
  • Provide specialist advice on attraction, selection, and retention, supported by data analysis.
  • Deliver accurate and timely People & Culture analytics and reporting (costs, diversity, turnover, time to hire, etc.).
  • Ensure People & Culture policies, systems, and procedures are compliant and reflect best practice.
  • Manage and enhance performance management and HR processes.
  • Coach, mentor, and develop managers in people management and leadership.
  • Collaborate with operational leaders on workforce forecasting, succession planning, and talent pipeline development.
  • Provide expert guidance on complex employee relations issues.

  • Australian citizenship or permanent residency.
  • Current Australian driver’s licence.
  • NDIS Worker Screening Check.

Requirements

Essential: Significant experience leading multidisciplinary teams in complex service delivery environments (ideally disability, community, or health services). Extensive employee relations experience and demonstrated ability to solve symptoms and also developing strategies that address the root causes Demonstrated ability to coach and develop managers and staff in people management and leadership. Strong knowledge of contemporary HR practices, employment legislation, and compliance. Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills. Experience in workforce planning, talent management, and organisational development. Advanced analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret and present HR metrics. High digital literacy, including HRIS and Microsoft Office. Desirable: Tertiary qualifications in Business or a relevant field.
