Superyou Therapy is seeking an experienced Senior Speech
Pathologist to step into a Clinical Lead – Mealtimes & Dysphagia role,
providing subject‑matter leadership across our multidisciplinary NDIS service.
This role is ideal for a senior clinician who:
- Is
highly skilled in paediatric or adult dysphagia and mealtime supports.
- Enjoys
coaching, mentoring and elevating clinical practice.
- Wants
leadership responsibility without stepping away from clinical work. This
role is a mixture of Clinical Lead (0.4FTE) and Senior Speech Pathology
(0.6FTE) so can be a full-time of part-time role. Please note, the Senior caseload will include clients without dysphagia and mealtime concerns.
About the Role
As the Clinical Lead – Mealtimes & Dysphagia, you will
be the recognised expert guiding best practice, service development and
workforce capability in this specialty area.
You will continue your clinical role as a Senior Speech
Pathologist while also:
- Leading
the strategic direction of mealtimes and dysphagia practice.
- Supporting
clinicians across hubs through coaching and supervision.
- Ensuring
ethical, evidence‑based assessment and intervention aligned with NDIS and
SPA expectations.
This is not a people‑management role — supervision is
clinically focused.
Key Responsibilities
Clinical Leadership & Governance
- Lead
evidence‑based mealtime and dysphagia practice across the service.
- Set
clinical standards aligned with NDIS Practice Standards, SPA guidance and
AHPRA requirements.
- Oversee
documentation quality, workflows and risk management.
- Escalate
clinical risks and contribute to service governance.
Supervision, Mentoring & Capability Building
- Provide
specialist coaching and clinical supervision to Speech Pathologists.
- Support
clinical reasoning, complex case discussions and reflective practice.
- Contribute
to competency frameworks, skill pathways and internal training resources.
- Facilitate
learning forums and clinical debriefs.
Service Development & Quality Improvement
- Lead
service development initiatives, including literature reviews and resource
creation.
- Monitor
demand, waiting lists and clinician capability.
- Provide
data‑informed recommendations on service growth and sustainability.
- Support
continuous quality improvement aligned with NDIS requirements.
Collaboration & Representation
- Work
closely with Occupational Therapists, Dietitians and interdisciplinary
teams.
- Represent
Superyou in professional networks, partnerships and universities.
- Contribute
clinical insights and content to support community education and awareness.
About You
You are a Senior Speech Pathologist who:
- Holds
a recognised tertiary qualification in Speech Pathology.
- Has 3+
years experience in mealtimes and dysphagia across both paediatric and
adult caseloads.
- Is
confident supporting complex clinical presentations.
- Enjoys
mentoring peers and influencing practice quality.
- Communicates
clearly and collaborates well across disciplines.
