The Role: Working within a dedicated team, you will contribute to delivering high quality therapeutic care to vulnerable and complex Children and young people in a residential setting. Your work will have a positive impact on a young person’s life using trauma-informed practices and therapeutic interventions. You will assist in developing various, living, social, educational, and recreational life skills, whilst supporting and modelling a safe and positive home life environment to meet each young person’s needs. Your Skills and Experience:
Our Youth Residential Support Worker role is incredibly rewarding, but as is the case with working with complex youth, requires staff who are resilient, consistent, and empathetic.
A minimum Cert IV in Child, Youth & Family Intervention or other equivalent tertiary level qualification in Social Work/Youth Work or minimum 2 years’ experience in a similar role.
A team player, able to work with various stakeholders, share ideas with a constructive approach to reach common goals focusing on the best interests of the young person.
Great at relationship building – listening and giving your time. Respect for yourself and others and have professional boundaries.
Demonstrated experience in working with vulnerable and complex young people.
Creative in your thinking and approach life without judgement and confidence.
Flexibility – be open to new and innovative ideas, cope with unexpected change and multitask with ease.

WA Driver's License
