The Aboriginal Throughcare (Women’s) program:
The Aboriginal Throughcare Women’s Program supports First Nations women transitioning from prison back into the community. The program provides culturally responsive case management and practical support to help women successfully navigate the justice system, overcome barriers to reintegration, and build positive futures.
The Role:
Case Managers work alongside participants to identify their goals and connect them with the services, resources, and opportunities they need to achieve sustainable outcomes. This includes support with housing, employment, education, health and wellbeing, family reunification, and community connection. Through a strengths-based approach, the program aims to empower women to develop the skills, confidence, and support networks necessary to lead fulfilling, independent, and crime-free lives.
What you will need:
- Relevant qualification or equivalent experience
- Ability to work in a way that is culturally safe, trauma-transformative, and accountable
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively across systems
- Current working rights in Australia
- Valid WA driver’s licence
- Current Working with Children Check and National Police Clearance
