About Cahoots Adventure Camp

Located in Bullsbrook and surrounded by 13 hectares of bushland, Cahoots Adventure Camp provides a welcoming and inclusive camp environment for children, young people, adults and community groups. The campsite includes 130 beds across five pioneer accommodation huts and The Lodge, along with a kitchen, dining and activities hall, toilet and shower facilities, a pool, basketball court, BBQ area and wide-open grassy spaces. Campers take part in a range of outdoor, recreational and team-based activities designed to encourage connection, confidence and fun, with activities tailored to suit different ages, abilities and adventure levels.

About the Role

As a Camp Activity Officer, you’ll play an important role in creating fun, safe and memorable camp experiences for children, young people, adults and community groups at Cahoots Adventure Camp. Working alongside the Camp Activity Coordinator and the wider camp team, you’ll help bring our outdoor and team-building activities to life while supporting participants to feel included, confident and connected. This hands-on role is ideal for someone who enjoys working outdoors, engaging with people of all abilities and contributing to meaningful experiences in a supportive camp environment.

You’ll assist with activity setup, supervision, pack down and participant engagement, while helping maintain a strong focus on safety, inclusion and positive guest experiences. Every camp is different, so we’re looking for people who are adaptable, reliable and willing to get involved wherever needed.

Key Responsibilities

  • Supervise activities in line with policies and OH&S, manage risks and report safety concerns promptly.
  • Deliver inclusive, engaging and values-based activities to a high standard, ensuring fun and safety.
  • Maintain equipment in good condition and monitor inventory of program resources.
  • Maintain efficient setup, pack down, cleaning and time management for smooth camp operations.
  • Practice respectful, timely and accurate communication; complete checklists and reports as required.
  • Provide quality participant support, respond to enquiries and ensure an excellent guest experience.

About You

You’ll be someone who enjoys creating positive experiences for others and is comfortable working in a busy, active camp environment.

Most importantly, you’ll bring a positive attitude, sound judgement and a genuine interest in supporting inclusive opportunities for people of all abilities. You’ll be confident communicating with participants, guests and team members and willing to help create a welcoming, safe and enjoyable environment at camp.

  • Desirable experience in outdoor recreation, education, youth programs, community services, or current study towards a related qualification.
  • Experience coordinating groups of children, young people or adults in recreation, camp, sport, education support, youth work or community settings.
  • Sound organisational skills and a demonstrated commitment to customer service.
  • Excellent communication, both written and verbal.
  • Great attitude and a desire to learn.
  • Current Working with Children Check (or ability to acquire)
  • Current Police Check (or ability to acquire)
  • Current Driver’s License
