This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated, experienced Mental Health Clinician at our Bairnsdale (headspace) centre to join RAV.

About headspace:
headspace is the National Youth Mental Health Foundation providing early intervention mental health services to 12-25 year olds, along with assistance in promoting young peoples’ wellbeing. This covers core areas including mental health, physical health, work and study support and alcohol and other drug services. Relationships Australia Victoria (RAV) is the lead agency for headspace (Bairsndale), which is governed by a consortium of local community organisations who provide expertise, support and advice to RAV.  

About the role
Reporting to the Centre Manager, your responsibilities include working within a multidisciplinary team to meet client needs in an evidence-based, outcomes-focused manner. You are responsible for engaging with young people and families, conducting assessments, and developing collaborative care plans. Responsibilities include delivering interventions, responding to risks, supporting intake and referrals and working with stakeholders to provide youth-friendly care in accordance with the headspace model.

This role is located at Bairnsdale and is a full-time ongoing role, working five (5) days per week, Monday to Friday with Tuesday evening shift. The base salary range is $102,202 - $106,555 (pro-rata) per annum. 

About you

  • Tertiary qualification in allied health discipline (e.g. social work, psychology, mental health nursing, or occupational therapy) with current AHPRA registration or AASW membership.
  • Minimum 2 years’ experience in youth and/or mental health, including intake, risk assessment, and interventions.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to engage young people and work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team.
  • Must have Victorian Driver’s Licence and access to own vehicle
