headspace is the National Youth Mental Health Foundation providing early intervention mental health services to 12-25 year olds, along with assistance in promoting young peoples’ wellbeing. This covers core areas including mental health, physical health, work and study support and alcohol and other drug services.
Relationships Australia Victoria (RAV) is the lead agency for headspace Wonthaggi, which is governed by a consortium of local community organisations who provide expertise, support and advice to RAV. About the
role:
Reporting to the Centre Manager the responsibilities of this role are to effectively engage, screen, assess, refer, provide brief interventions and to coordinate care for young people aged 12-25 years who are referred to the headspace centre. The role is part of a multi-disciplinary team including general practitioners, allied health clinicians, community engagement workers and support staff.
In response to COVID-19, service provision may include video appointments and teleconferencing, with a transition to face-to-face work based in Wonthaggi in the future. The successful candidate will be working part-time four (4) days per week on a fixed-term contract until June 2021. Pending funding review and contractual obligations, this employment contract may be extended at a later date.
