About you

Are you a recent graduate looking to start your career? Are you passionate about environmental planning in a progressive environment? 


The Coromandel Peninsula’s population is booming which means an exciting period of growth for us to meet our increasing community wants and needs. We have a position available in our Development Planning team for a graduate Resource Consent Planner.  This is a permanent, full time role based in our Thames Office


As a new graduate we want to support you develop your professional skills and provide an environment where you can grow your planning experience. You will have a great work ethic and an ability to develop and maintain sound professional relationships. You will have a good sense of humour and will thrive working in a small supportive team. 


To be successful in this role you will have:


- A planning degree or similar, and full membership of a professional association, or working towards it.


- An understanding of key Local Government legislation.


- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, an ability to build sound relationships and give advice. 


- Strong literacy and report writing skills, with high attention to detail. 


- Great organisational and prioritising skills, a drive to get the job done.
